When it was confirmed that I was going to be on Joel Comm’s competitive reality show The Next Internet Millionaire I went to Darren, my hairdresser, and had him bring back the edgy pink look I’d carried over a year before.

What I didn’t realize was that not only was he going to give me back the pink swash of hair in the front….he was going to add two more other colours: purple and red. THREE COLOURS!!

I’d brought my Archos 404 with attached headcam that day and set it on the counter in front of me. I thought it would be neat to capture my changed hairstyle on video. Well, I was at the salon for over 4 hours. First he washed my hair, then he cut some of it, then he bleached my hair, and then he coloured it. There was alot of sitting and waiting for the different solutions in my hair to do their work.

In the fall of 2006, I had coloured my hair a radical colour for the first time in my life. Hot pink swash in the front! It was an absolutely fun haircut and I loved it. I think I only had it retouched up once more about 6 weeks later and then it eventually grew out.

My hairdresser Darren, the Hair God, then turned my hair back into my natural colour and with a few brown streaks. It would be over a year later that my normal black bob would give way again to a hot colour edgy look.

Actually, all the haircuts I’ve ever had by him are exclusively his creations. I walk in and pretty much give him free reign to design, cut, colour, my hair however he wants. It’s neat to see what type of style I am going to walk out of his salon with.
